With everything you have to do in your wedding shoes, it is extremely important that you take great care in choosing the right shoes. Therefore, here are four things that your wedding shoes must have.

If your wedding shoes are not comfortable, you will find that spending that many hours in them and doing all the things you must do at your wedding to be unbearable. While looks are important as well, comfort should be at the top of your list of things you wedding shoes must have. Tips to Find your Perfect Wedding Dress Style

If you are still in the in search of the perfect gown, you are in the right place! This whole week, I will be featuring wedding dresses that will help you decide what to wear on the big day!

Halterneck
The halterneck features straps that join at the back of the neck. It usually has a very low-cut back. This style looks good on brides with great shoulders!

Scoop/Round
The scoop is a U-shaped neckline, often cut quite low and echoed on the back of the dress. This is a style that suits any bride.

Off-the-shoulders
The broad, sweeping off-the-shoulder neckline features small sleeves or straps that sit just below the shoulder on the upper arm, showing off the shoulders and collarbone. It is good for curves and for medium-to full-chested brides, but not ideal for those with wide shoulders.

Strapless
The strapless bodice is usually figure-hugging, often with a straight or subtly-shaped neckline. This style is good for those with broad shoulders.

V-neck
The V-neck dips down to a V-shape at the front, which draws attention away from the bust line. The back may be similar. This style suits brides with a medium bust.

Jewel/T-shirt
The jewel neckline is round and high cut, sitting near the base of the throat. This style is good for small-busted brides and those wishing to cover up their upper chest and collarbones.

If you are tall and thin, you could choose a ball gown with a strapless, fitted bodice.

However, if you feel your shoulders are too bony or that your collarbones protrude too much, go for a fitted dress, perhaps with high neckline.

If you are short with a fuller, feminine figure, try an empire-line dress. The beauty of this style is that it has a seam under the bust line and then just flows down. Although a knee-length dress could work for you, this longer shape will give you a nice silhouette.

If you have full or wide hips, you can try the A-line style. It will disguise larger hips by creating a triangle on the lower half of your body.

Even the ball gown look, in quite a simple material, will draw attention away from the hips. The empire line will work, too, if your bust is a bit smaller, but could end up downplaying your waist and stomach area.

Since I live on an island here on Northwest Florida, I see beach weddings all the time. They are very popular here as well as in other beautiful coastal areas all over the world. These wedding can range from very casual and inexpensive to sophisticated and very costly. Either way, the beautiful view and the whole ambience of the setting is free and at the same time priceless.

Beach weddings can present a bit of a dilemma for the bride as far as shoes go. I know when we had ours on the beach my wife just went barefooted and so did I. We had a very casual wedding though, she wore a beautiful sexy prom gown she borrowed from a niece, and I wore shorts and a pastel polo shirt.

For most people they will want shoes, plus not every one has the powder soft sand that we have. The best bet for a simple beach wedding is probably to just go with a simple pair of slip-ons that can be matched to whatever your wedding’s colors are. If you go with a slip-on bridal shoe it will be easy to get the sand from between your toes and shake off your feet when you get out of the sand and begin entertaining guests. They are also very good if your feet get wet as they will dry quickly so you don’t have to worry about getting your feet wet during or after the ceremony if you choose.

If you haven’t chosen a color for your wedding yet, some good suggestions for beach wedding shoes are gold, white, and silver. However, if you have a certain color theme in mind slip-ons come in a wide variety of colors so that even if you want to go with a light teal or aqua to go along with the beach scene you can do it quite easily.

Feel free to customize and accessorize your shoes as well. You can play around with things like rhinestones and other gems that will add a little playfulness to the whole ensemble. To keep it toned down so that they don’t compete for attention with your wedding gown keep them clear and colorless.

Stay away from any kind of leather as far as the material they are constructed from. Satin and synthetics are best since they dry easily and do not hold water. Whatever you choose just be sure that the shoes are simple, open, and easy to remove sand and water from so that your beach wedding will be as enjoyable and care free as possible.
